Six Sycamore High School students pitched their programs to local business professionals and alumni at the school's first Aviators & Innovators breakfast Thursday, Oct. 8.
The event ran from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the high school, 7400 Cornell Road. The district created the breakfast to connect students with working professionals across a range of career paths, according to its recap.
Alp Onguc and Myra Sahay presented on Sycamore's DECA chapter, a business and marketing competition program with more than 300 active members, according to the chapter's website. The chapter sent 125 students to the state competition in 2025.
Brooke Rohner and Gwyn McClain spotlighted Fashion for the Cure, a student-organized fashion show now in its 20th year that benefits The Dragonfly Foundation, a Cincinnati pediatric cancer nonprofit. Maya Moeddel and Madison Carrier presented on broader student opportunities.
Octaviation, one of Sycamore's select a cappella groups, opened the morning with a performance. After the presentations, guests toured the high school and shared career insights with students.
The district has not announced whether the breakfast will become an annual event.
