Montgomery police located a 74-year-old woman with dementia who had been reported missing early Monday, Sept. 21, ending a search that prompted an early-morning alert across Hamilton County.

Kathy Swartz was last seen on foot near 10902 Windhaven Court in Montgomery around 12:30 a.m. Monday, according to a missing-adult alert relayed by the Hamilton County Emergency Management Agency. The Montgomery Police Department issued the alert at 5:15 a.m.

The alert described Swartz as a white woman, 5 feet 3 inches tall, 130 pounds, with brown hair. It noted she has dementia.

Hamilton County EMA confirmed later Monday that the search had ended and Swartz had been located, attributing the update to Montgomery police.

Montgomery police had not issued a standalone public statement with details about where Swartz was found or her condition as of Monday afternoon.
