Blue Ash's largest hotel is back in business after a $10 million makeover.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton at 4554 Lake Forest Drive reopened in early September following a full-scale renovation funded by a $19 million investment from Rolling Hills Hospitality, as first reported by the Cincinnati Business Courier and carried by Local 12. The downtown Cincinnati-based firm owns the 238-room property, which sits on six acres one block north of Summit Park.

The hotel was originally built in 1988. The $10 million renovation was designed by an Over-the-Rhine creative firm that the Business Courier did not name in its report.

With 238 rooms and 8,800 square feet of meeting space, the Embassy Suites ranks as the 16th-largest hotel in the Cincinnati region and the largest in the Blue Ash area, according to the Business Courier.

The reopening caps a project that drew public attention weeks earlier. Blue Ash Mayor Jill Cole spoke at a celebration event on Aug. 28, where confetti cannons marked the occasion. The renovation included upgrades to every guest room and a makeover of the on-site restaurant, as we reported Aug. 28.

That earlier coverage described the project as a $13 million renovation. The Business Courier's more detailed account puts the renovation itself at $10 million within a larger $19 million total investment by Rolling Hills Hospitality. The breakdown of the remaining investment beyond the renovation cost was not detailed in the reporting.

Rolling Hills Hospitality, based in downtown Cincinnati, has not publicly outlined what comes next for the property. The hotel is fully open and accepting guests at its Lake Forest Drive location, one block from one of Blue Ash's busiest public spaces.
