Trick-or-treat in Blue Ash and Montgomery runs 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, matching most Greater Cincinnati communities on the calendar for Halloween 2026.

Both cities' hours appear in a regional listing WLWT published Oct. 7, which covers more than two dozen communities across the area. The 6-to-8 window is the most common across the list.

Halloween falls on a Saturday in 2026, which means more families may be out walking after dark. A standing safety page on the City of Blue Ash website, citing the National Safety Council, lists guidance for parents and drivers. The page does not carry a 2026 date, but the tips apply every year:

  • A parent or responsible adult should accompany young children at all times.
  • Children should stick to familiar, well-lit areas and never enter a stranger's home.
  • Costumes, wigs and accessories should be fire-resistant. Fasten reflective tape to costumes and bags so drivers can spot kids more easily.
  • Halloween makeup should be nontoxic and tested on a small patch of skin first. Remove all makeup before children go to bed to prevent skin and eye irritation.
  • Children should not eat any treats until they get home.
  • Drivers should watch for children walking on roadways, medians and curbs, especially at twilight and later in the evening.

The Blue Ash Police Department has urged caution on Halloween in past years. In an Oct. 31, 2024, post on X, the department reminded drivers to watch for children on the road during trick-or-treat hours.

Blue Ash has not yet posted a 2026-specific trick-or-treat announcement on its city website. Residents can check blueash.com or call 513-745-8500 to confirm.
