Firefighters from four departments contained a late-night condo fire on the 1800 block of Chaucer Drive in Sycamore Township on Saturday, Aug. 29.
The Sycamore Township Fire Department said crews were dispatched at about 10:36 p.m. after flames were visible on the first floor of the residence, WLWT reported. Firefighters extinguished the blaze quickly after arriving on scene.
Two residents who lived in the condo escaped unharmed.
The fire did not spread to neighboring units. The department said no damage was found to any other condos nearby.
Crews from the Amberley, Roselawn and Reading fire departments assisted Sycamore Township at the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
