Families across the Sycamore Community Schools district will encounter new leadership at multiple buildings this fall after the Board of Education approved a slate of administrative appointments at its Tuesday, July 8 meeting.

The changes touch Blue Ash Elementary, the district's curriculum office, and special education services for older students. Here is who is moving where:

• Danielle Gray becomes the new principal at Blue Ash Elementary. Gray is currently assistant principal at Maple Dale Elementary and brings more than 27 years of experience in education.
• Natalie Jimenez, the outgoing Blue Ash Elementary principal, shifts to a new district-level role as Director of Curriculum and Instruction for grades K-6.
• Angela Faulhaber joins as Director of Curriculum and Instruction for grades 7-12. She previously served as associate principal at West Clermont High School and worked as an instructional coach and consultant.
• Taryn Barker takes over as Director of Special Education for grades 7-12. She comes from the Lakota West Freshman Campus, where she was associate principal, and has prior experience as a special education coordinator and intervention specialist.
• Natalie Moss, an intervention specialist at Maple Dale Elementary, will serve as interim assistant principal there.
• Mark Byrd was named assistant principal at E.H. Greene Intermediate School, replacing Tricia Constable, who stepped down after six years to return to the classroom. Byrd previously worked as Supervisor of Data and Accountability for Lakota Local Schools.

Misty Belfrom continues as Director of Special Education for grades K-6.

The board formally introduced Barker, Jimenez, Faulhaber, and Gray at its July 8 work session, according to the session agenda.

At Sycamore High School, the board is scheduled to formally introduce Bret Mustain as a new assistant principal at its upcoming regular meeting, according to the published agenda. The district has not yet released details about Mustain's background or which graduating class he will oversee. The school currently operates with Principal Greg Pottebaum and four assistant principals, each assigned to a class year.

The board's next regular meeting is Wednesday, August 19, at 6 p.m. at the Kenwood Learning Commons, 11120 Kenwood Road, Cincinnati. A work session is set for Wednesday, August 5.
