The Blue Ash Police Department will host a free Open House on Tuesday, Sept. 15, giving families a behind-the-scenes look at the station, its officers and the equipment they use daily.
The event runs from 4 to 7 p.m. at the police department, 4343 Cooper Road. No registration is required.
Admission is free.
Visitors can expect K9 demonstrations, drone demonstrations, self-defense demonstrations, law enforcement vehicle displays, crime-fighting gear exhibits, a photo booth, police station tours and free food while supplies last, according to the city's announcement published Monday, Aug. 17.
The first hour, from 4 to 5 p.m., is designated sensory-friendly. That means smaller crowds, no loud sirens and no flashing lights, making it a good window for children and adults with sensory sensitivities.
Blue Ash has hosted the Open House for more than a decade. The department held its first one in May 2014, and the event has become an annual tradition at the Cooper Road station. The 2025 event featured the chance to dunk an officer, according to a city newsletter.
Families can walk in anytime during the three-hour window. The police department's non-emergency line is 513-745-8555 for questions.
