The Blue Ash Police Association will host its 3rd Annual Golf Scramble on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Blue Ash Golf Course, 4040 Cooper Road, with proceeds funding scholarships, holiday shopping for local kids and emergency aid for residents in crisis.

The event, presented by Steelcraft, runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Registration is available through Eventbrite. The listed price is $480 per entry.

The Police Association is a registered 501(c)(3) that channels fundraising dollars into four areas: the UC Blue Ash Scholarship, the Heroes & Helpers holiday program, donations to other nonprofits and direct financial help for people officers encounter on patrol who need immediate assistance.

The scholarship, launched in 2022, awards two $500 grants each year to UC Blue Ash students in the Behavioral Sciences department, with preference for those on the Criminal Justice career path. This year's recipients are Morgan Langdon, who is studying for an associate degree in pre-elementary education, and Jahmya Jackson, who is pursuing a double major in social work and early childhood care and education.

"Your generous support means a great deal to me and will significantly help me pursue my educational goals," Langdon said in an April 2026 scholarship profile published by UC Blue Ash.

The Heroes & Helpers program partners with Target each December to take children nominated by Sycamore Community Schools on a holiday shopping trip with officers. At the most recent event in December 2024, 19 children picked out gifts for themselves and their families and made personalized ornaments. The program has helped more than 100 families since its inception, according to the Police Association.

It's open to all skill levels.

The outing, now in its third year, was held in October 2025 at the same Cooper Road course and doubles as a chance to meet Blue Ash police officers, according to the city's event listing.
