Families seeking autism therapy in the Blue Ash area now have a closer option.

Bierman Autism Centers opens its new facility at 10625 Techwood Circle on Saturday, marking the organization's second Greater Cincinnati location after its existing Mason center.

The opening comes with a free, sensory-friendly Touch-a-Truck event from 10 a.m. to noon, open to children ages 2–9 and their families. Fire trucks, police cars, and construction vehicles will fill the parking lot for kids to climb in and explore, according to the center's event listing on Patch. A quiet sensory corner will be available all morning for children who need a break. Snacks and hands-on activities will also be offered.

Spots are limited. Registration is required in advance through Eventbrite.

The Blue Ash center, located in the Techwood Circle office park along the city's corporate corridor, provides Applied Behavior Analysis therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy for children diagnosed with autism. The center also offers diagnostic services and accepts public insurance, private insurance and private pay, according to Bierman's website.

Elizabeth Henry, director of services for Bierman Autism Centers in Ohio and a board-certified behavior analyst, told Local 12 that families interested in starting services go through an assessment first.

"Every child that comes through the door has different things that they need to work on," Henry said. "Autism is a very individualized diagnosis."

The organization also runs Ohio centers in Dublin, Gahanna, Mason, Upper Arlington and Westerville.
