A Cincinnati bagel shop is expanding to Montgomery Road, bringing hand-rolled, kettle-boiled bagels to the east side this fall.
The Bagelry, a family-owned shop with locations in Over-the-Rhine and Oakley, announced plans for its third Greater Cincinnati store in Montgomery. The business confirmed the expansion on its Facebook page and on its website, where a banner reads that the shop is coming to Montgomery in fall 2026.
Co-owner Richard Huff operates The Bagelry with his brother Kyle Jones and sister-in-law Colleen Hert. The trio opened their first shop at 1401 Walnut Street in Over-the-Rhine in the summer of 2018, then added a second location at 3212 Madison Road in Oakley at the end of 2022. The new store will sit on the 11000 block of Montgomery Road.
The Bagelry specializes in bagels that rise overnight before being hand-rolled and kettle-boiled. The menu also includes fresh cracked egg sandwiches, house-made cream cheese flavors, chocolate chip cookies, and coffee drinks.
Construction is currently under way in the Montgomery shop.

Since opening that 1,220-square-foot OTR storefront leased from 3CDC, the business has grown into a small local chain. Huff started making bagels at home after moving to Over-the-Rhine from Louisville in 2013, selling them at farmers markets and pop-up shops before landing the permanent space.
The Bagelry's existing locations are open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to the business's website. Hours for the Montgomery location have not been announced.
The business said additional updates about the Montgomery store's timeline will be released on its social media channels. No opening date beyond "fall 2026" has been confirmed.
