The Sycamore Aviators will try to snap a 14-game losing streak Friday when they host Fairfield in a Greater Miami Conference matchup between two teams winless in league play.

Kickoff is Friday, Sept. 18.

Both teams enter 0-3 in GMC play. Sycamore (0-4 overall) has not won since the 2024 season. The Aviators went 0-10 last year under first-year head coach Daryn Chenault and have dropped every game this fall. The low point came in Week 4, when Princeton put up 35 points in the second quarter alone on the way to a 56-7 rout.

Sycamore also fell 34-6 to Kings on Aug. 21 and 31-21 to Hamilton on Sept. 4.

Chenault's second-year roster does return experience. Quarterback Ty Thomas returns alongside running back Zachary Branam, the team's leading pass-catcher in 2025, and receiver Trenton Meadows. Linebacker Aidan Perdue, who posted a team-high 53 tackles and two forced fumbles last season, anchors the defense, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer's preseason GMC preview.

Fairfield (1-3, 0-3 GMC) carries a No. 22 ranking in the WLWT Blitz 5 Top 25 despite three straight losses. The Indians opened with a 35-25 win over Huber Heights Wayne on Aug. 21 but have since fallen to Middletown (27-20 on Sept. 4) and No. 18 Colerain (34-28 in overtime in Week 4).

Second-year head coach Justin Roden turned Fairfield around quickly in 2025, going 6-6 and earning the program's first playoff win since 2021 after a 2-9 record in 2024. Fairfield averages 316 yards of total offense per game this season.

The Fairfield defense features all-district linebackers Axsel Rogers and Kobe Lewis, who combined for 161 tackles, three interceptions and two sacks in 2025. On offense, running back Corrious Booker returns after rushing for 576 yards and five touchdowns last season.

Sycamore and Fairfield are both 0-3 in the GMC, making Friday's game at Sycamore a chance for one program to grab its first conference win of 2026.
