Middletown shut out Sycamore 40-0 on Friday, Sept. 25, dropping the Aviators to 0-6 on the season and winless in Greater Miami Conference play.
Middletown quarterback Gavin Nolan threw for 289 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for another score, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. The Middies have won four straight after opening the year 0-2.
The loss continued a difficult stretch for Sycamore, which fell to Fairfield 42-19 in Week 5. No Sycamore player statistics were available in published game reports.
Princeton leads the GMC at 6-0 overall and 5-0 in conference after beating Lakota East 48-22. Lakota West and Middletown trail by one game. Sycamore remains at the bottom of the standings heading into the second half of the regular season.
The OHSAA playoffs begin Oct. 30.
