"Jersey Shore" star Nicole Polizzi, known as Snooki, stopped into Carlo & Johnny in Montgomery on Thursday, Sept. 17.

Restaurant owner Jeff Ruby shared a photo with Polizzi on X, playing up their shared roots. Both are New Jersey natives. Ruby called it "always a blast catching up with a fellow Jersey girl" in the post, which had drawn more than 102,000 impressions and 1,000 likes by Friday, Sept. 18.

WLWT first reported the visit Friday morning. The reason for Polizzi's trip to the Cincinnati area has not been confirmed, but she offered a hint on her podcast the day before the dinner.

On the Wednesday, Sept. 16, episode of "It's Happening With Snooki & Joey," Polizzi and co-host Joey said they were heading to the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area for a work trip. They called it "something fun" but said they could not yet share details.

"I literally love this place so much, and I've been dying to do something with them and work with them. So, I'm so excited that it's finally happening," Polizzi said on the podcast, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. She did not name the project or the partner.

The steakhouse sits at 9769 Montgomery Road. It is housed in a historic mansion that once served as a stagecoach stopover, a speakeasy, an illegal casino and a gangster hideout, according to the restaurant's website.

Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment has been family-owned and operated since 1981. The Montgomery Road location features USDA Prime steaks, a raw bar, live entertainment and five private dining rooms.

Polizzi rose to fame on MTV's "Jersey Shore," which premiered in 2009. She now co-hosts the podcast where she teased the Cincinnati trip.

No future event or appearance tied to Polizzi's visit has been announced.
