Republican Rep. Warren Davidson and Democrat Vanessa Enoch are on the ballot for Ohio's 8th Congressional District on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Election results are pending. This article will be updated as election officials release vote totals.
Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Eastern on Election Day, according to the Ohio Secretary of State. Once polls close, unofficial returns will be posted at the Secretary of State's live results page.
Who is on the ballot
The Hamilton County Board of Elections' certified candidate list names Davidson, the Republican incumbent, and Enoch, the Democratic challenger, for the 8th District.
Davidson has held the seat since winning a 2016 special election to succeed former House Speaker John Boehner, according to WVXU. He serves on the House Financial Services and Foreign Affairs committees, according to the House Clerk's member profile.
Enoch is a management and technology consultant who has also worked as a journalist and in higher education. She holds a doctorate in public policy from Union Institute & University, according to her campaign biography.
What's at stake
The 8th District seat is one of 15 Ohio U.S. House races on the Nov. 3 ballot.
Under the state's official district description, the 8th includes all of Darke and Preble counties and parts of Butler, Hamilton and Miami counties. Montgomery, Blue Ash and Sycamore Township are included in its Hamilton County portion.
The election uses the congressional boundaries adopted by the Ohio Redistricting Commission on Oct. 31, 2025. Voters should check their address-specific sample ballot to confirm which congressional contest they will vote in.
How to vote
For in-person voting, Ohio generally requires an approved, unexpired photo ID. Accepted forms include an Ohio driver license or state ID, a U.S. passport or passport card, and qualifying military, Ohio National Guard or Department of Veterans Affairs identification, according to the Ohio Secretary of State.
Voters without accepted ID may cast a provisional ballot. For a ballot cast because of missing ID to count, they must provide approved ID to their county board of elections within four days after Election Day. Voters without photo ID because of a religious objection to being photographed may instead complete an affidavit at the polls or at the county board within four days, the state guidance says.
Hamilton County voters can check their assigned polling place and sample ballot through the county board. Anyone in line by 7:30 p.m. has the right to vote, according to the Secretary of State.
When to expect results
Unofficial results will be available at liveresults.ohiosos.gov after polls close at 7:30 p.m. Eastern on Nov. 3. Results are unofficial until the Secretary of State certifies them, according to the state's elections office.
