Blue Ash will mark Veterans Day with its 34th annual ceremony and luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 10:30 a.m. at the Blue Ash Recreation Center, 4433 Cooper Road.

The city announced that retired Marine Colonel Danny R. Bubp will deliver the keynote address. Bubp served more than 30 years in the Marine Corps, including a 2007 deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was awarded the Legion of Merit in November 2009.

A Cincinnati native, Bubp also served as a state representative for Ohio's 88th House District from 2005 to 2012, according to his biography on the city's event page. He retired as Brown County Probate and Juvenile Court Judge in 2020.

The ceremony will include tolling of bells, music from the Ohio Military Band, a wreath-laying ceremony and recognition of the 2026 Veteran of the Year. Students from Edwin H. Greene Intermediate School will read patriotic essays they wrote for the occasion.

After the ceremony, attendees can meet local veterans at a luncheon hosted by members of the 123rd Air Control Squadron. The luncheon costs $7 per person.
