Sycamore Township's longest-running summer car show returns to the Robert L. Schuler Sports Complex on Saturday, August 1, with free admission, live music, food vendors and awards across multiple categories for the 16th consecutive year.
The show is open to the public on Aug. 1 from noon to 3 p.m. at 11532 Deerfield Road. No ticket required.
Registration
Vehicle owners can register on-site between 9 a.m. and noon for $15 per entry. The first 100 entries receive free dash plaques, according to the township's Summer 2026 Quarterly newsletter. The award presentation begins at 3:30 p.m.

Awards and prizes
Confirmed categories include Best Import, Best Engine, Best Jeep, Best Paint, Best of Show and Trustees' Choice, according to the township's event page. The newsletter references nine specialty categories plus top-40 trophies; the full list has not been released.
In 2024, Don Budke took Best of Show with a 1963 Studebaker, and Terry Boub won Trustees' Choice with a 1955 Chevy Bel Air, according to the township's recap of that year's event.
Door prizes will be provided by KOI Auto Parts and DTI Professional Auto Detailing.
Food and music
On Air Entertainment will handle live DJ music throughout the afternoon. Two food vendors will be on-site: Cheesy Street Stacks & Melts and Granny's Goodies on the Go.
The car show is part of a broader summer lineup that included the June 13 Touch-A-Truck event, according to the Summer 2026 Quarterly. Trustee Tracy Schwegmann wrote in the newsletter that the township "assembled an active season with the return of Touch-A-Truck, Festival in Sycamore, Yoga in the Park, and the Annual Car Show."
