Montgomery, Blue Ash, and Sycamore Township residents who need to register to vote or update their address must do so by Monday, Oct. 5.
The Hamilton County Board of Elections, led by Director of Elections Sherry Poland, will accept registrations from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at 4700 Smith Rd. in Cincinnati, according to the board's election calendar. Online registration through the secretary of state's website stays open until 11:59 p.m.
Early in-person voting begins Tuesday, Oct. 6.
The Sycamore Community City School District is asking voters to approve a permanent 6.95-mill additional tax levy for current expenses and permanent improvements, according to the board's 100-day notice. The levy covers precincts in Blue Ash, Montgomery, Evendale and portions of Sycamore Township, Symmes Township and Loveland.
Also on the ballot countywide is a Hamilton County Children's Services levy, a renewal and increase to 5.61 mills for four years, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.
Statewide races include the U.S. Senate contest between Sen. Jon Husted, a Republican appointed to the seat in 2025, and Democrat Sherrod Brown, who is seeking a return after losing his seat in 2024. Libertarian William B. Redpath is also running.
The governor's race features Republican Vivek Ramaswamy against Democrat Amy Acton. Ohio Issue 3, a constitutional amendment on voter identification requirements, rounds out the statewide ballot.
Montgomery, Blue Ash, and Sycamore Township voters also fall in Ohio's 8th Congressional District, where Republican Warren Davidson faces Democrat Vanessa Enoch.
How to register
Residents can register or update their information in person at the Board of Elections, at any BMV deputy registrar office, or at a public library location, according to the board's registration page. Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library branches will accept forms until they close Monday, according to the library's voter-readiness guide.
Ohio law requires a valid photo ID to vote in person, according to the Dayton Daily News.
What comes next
Early voting at the Board of Elections runs Oct. 6–9, Tuesday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extended hours later in October. The deadline to request a mail-in ballot is 8:30 p.m. Oct. 27. Mail ballots must reach the board by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3. There is no longer a grace period for late-arriving mail ballots.
Polls on Election Day open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. Metro, the regional bus service, will offer fare-free rides that day.
