On the issues
The following positions are stated on Levy's campaign website and attributed to the candidate.
Economy and workers' rights: Levy said he would implement a price freeze on essential goods to combat the cost-of-living crisis. He called for seizing the 100 biggest corporations, including six headquartered in Ohio such as Kroger and Procter & Gamble, and transforming them into public property controlled by workers. On artificial intelligence, Levy said technological progress under public ownership could shorten the workweek rather than displace workers.
Healthcare and housing: Levy called for a universal, single-payer healthcare system free at the point of use. He said he supports free abortion access and gender-affirming care as healthcare decisions. On housing, he called for a national rent cap limiting costs to 20% of income and a ban on evictions.
Foreign policy and military: Levy, a veteran, said he would fight to cut the Pentagon budget by 90% and dismantle the network of more than 800 U.S. military bases worldwide. He called for rejecting "forever wars" and embracing global cooperation on climate change, pandemics and poverty.
Civil rights: Levy called for full payment of reparations to Black Americans for slavery and Jim Crow, paired with federal investment in historically oppressed communities. He said he would seek to outlaw what he called racist gerrymandering and voter purges that disenfranchise Black voters, and to ban discrimination in housing and employment.
Immigration: Levy said he would abolish ICE, end raids and deportations, shut down detention camps and establish a path to citizenship.
